Once A Cyborg

Homonculus of cyborg F-22 Raptor, from refueling boom operator’s perspective over the coast of Florida.

"I was now an airplane or, rather, my body was now a supersonic aircraft. I gave the plane captain, an enlisted man in charge of maintaining the aircraft, the scare of his life when I wiggled my fingers; the ailerons moved. When I stretched my toes the elevons moved up and down. I remember waking up after the installation and feeling as if someone had stretched me out stomach down, bare-assed naked on the flight ramp of the air base."  Once A Cyborg, short story by Bill Yancey
